Cube Asafetida is Katti Perungayam in Tamil and is available in 100 gram Poly pouches.

It is used as a food additive in most South Indian Dishes like Sambar, Rasam, Koottu, Poriyal etc,. This is a form of asafetida which is considered to be more concentrated than the regular powdered ones available in the market.

It should be powdered and used. For pickles and certain other recipes should be roasted in little oil then powdered and used. Can be stored just like that or in refrigerator even.
